Uses of Quedar in Spanish and expressions

The Confusing Verb Quedar

uses of quedar

In this video, we are taking a look at the uses of quedar.  We think this is one of the most confusing verbs in Spanish.  Why?  Just look up “quedar” in any dictionary and you will find out why really quickly.  Quedar has so many meanings making it really confusing on how and when to use it.  You can use quedar to mean to be available, to be located, to set a date or time, to look, to wait, to end up, to appear… you get the point.

Common Uses of Quedar

We decided the best way to go about explaining this confusing verb was to focus on the common uses and some expressions.  In the video, we took 6 common uses of quedar and acted out some mini skits to help explain them.  Now we are not classically trained actors and actress but hopefully, you will get the idea and understand some of the many uses of this Spanish verb.

Do you have a better understanding of quedar?  Do you think you can use it now with more confidence?  We hope so!
