Lesson 6 | Numbers and Age in Spanish

Numbers and Age in Spanish

In this video, we are going to talk about numbers and age in Spanish.  When you are talking about age in Spanish you need to use the verb to have or “TENER”. This is because in Spanish, you are not whatever years old, but you HAVE the number of years.

In this video, you will learn or maybe refresh the numbers from zero to one hundred in Spanish and you will also get to learn or remember how to ask for someone’s age as well as tell your age.

To ask about someone’s age, say: ¿cuántos + años + tienes?
If you are asking about a he or a she, say: ¿Cuántos + años + tiene?

To answer to the first situation say: (yo) Tengo + number + años.
To answer for someone else, say: (él /ella) Tiene + number + años.
