The leg or the paw?

Lots of things we have or use in our daily life have body part names.  Think about it how many things around you right now has a body part name.  For instance, if you are wearing shoes it probably has a tongue.

We recently moved to Bogota Colombia and we don’t have much furniture right now.  One of the first things that we bought was a table for the living room.  As we were putting it together, Maria held the leg of the table in her hand and asked me what I thought the name of it was in Spanish.  I told her it was probably the same in English so I went with pierna.

I was wrong and then she asked people on Instagram what they thought the name of it was.  Most of them thought the same as me that it would be called a pierna.
