Vocabulario de fútbol – Soccer Terms in Spanish

Hoy vamos a hablar sobre fútbol.

 

Vocabulario de fútbol

 

If you find yourself in need of some vocabulario de fútbol then you are in the right place.  We have what you need to be able to talk about Latin America’s most popular sport.  In the United States football or soccer is not a super popular sport.  I really had no idea how loved this game was until I started working on cruise ships.  It was not until I lived in Colombia that I really understood how popular the sport is in Latin America.  So if you find yourself behind like me and trying to learn more about the sport here is a list of terms and Spanish vocabulary around football.

Vocabulario de fútbol:

 

¿Quién juega o quién participa?

 

 

Los jugadores según su posición son: El portero, el defensa, el centrocampista o ataque. Muy importante también el entrenador y los asistentes.
Todos juegan en equipos y si es el equipo nacional es la selección.

 

¿Qué hace un equipo de fútbol?
Veamos verbos: Tirar el balón a la portería, pasar el balón a otro jugador, golpear el balón, sacar el balón, parar o detener un gol, marcar o meter un gol. 

 

¿Qué hace el árbitro?
Iinformar sobre lo sucedido.  Cronometrar la duración, aplicar los reglamentos, sacar tarjeta roja o amarilla y a veces expulsar o sancionar a los jugadores. Se comunica pintando (verbo “pitar”durante el partido.

 

 

Un partido se divide en: primer tiempo y segundo tiempo. En ocasiones es necesaria una prórroga o un tiempo extra o decidir el resultado en penaltis algunas de las faltas más comunes son: Fuera de juego, penalti, retención del balón, mano (tocar el balón) y empujar a otro jugador.

 

¿Qué hace un equipo?
Pues ganar o perder: un partido, un campeonato, un trofeo, una copa, la liga, la copa del mundo.
Cuando el resultado es igual entre los dos equipos: empatar
